A team from First Baptist Church São Gonçalo in the state of Rio de Janeiro came and spent 4 days working in Frei Damião this week. They visited in homes and distributed Bibles and tracts. This evening there was a service held in front of the CADI (community center). After a VERY hot day, the cool wind that was blowing during the service was quite welcome. We sang a lot, then Pastor Roberto brought a very good message about finding peace – a very appropriate message since a huge fight had just happened a couple of blocks away. Several people made decisions to follow Christ!
